My approach
Yoga is a practice of union—integrating mind, body and spirit. The physical practice may open your hips and strengthen your abs, or help you create space and ease where before there was none, but the spiritual aspect of the practice is the thread that brings you back to yourself: it teaches you to trust and to establish presence in your life. As mothers, we need to stay deeply connected to ourselves in order to offer the best care to others, but it’s the very act of caring for others that pulls us so far away from ourselves. Time spent on the yoga mat is the best investment in your own health and the health of your family.
Whether it’s a group yoga class, a private one-on-one session, during the postpartum (or the post-post partum!) period, I create space for you to slow down, find your own voice — and trust it.
